New Express Franchisee Has Sights Set on Future Franchise Opportunities

Express Franchising OpportunityExpress is pleased to announce Ryan Platts as the newest member of the Express family. He is the new owner of the East Des Moines, IA, Express franchise.

Prior to joining Express, Ryan worked at American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company as an annuity services specialist. In his role there, he worked as a liaison between clients, agents, brokers, and the company, explaining the ins and outs of contracts. This was a great experience that taught him customer service, specifically to always put customers first and make sure their needs are met – something that will be a great asset to him as an Express franchisee.

Ryan first learned about Express when his sister, Erin, went to work for the East Des Moines office. As his curiosity peaked about the business, Ryan began to seek out all the information he could about staffing and Express from his sister as well as other current Express franchisees.

“As I learned more about Express and what the company did, I realized it was a career opportunity that would tie in very well with my education and background,” Ryan said. “I enjoy HR and I like that I won’t be selling a product. Instead, I’ll be helping clients and job seekers meet their needs by helping good people find good work.”

Ryan’s roots are in the Midwest, and he is very familiar with the demographics and types of businesses in Des Moines. The area is a good mix of professional and commercial business. Ryan wants to continue to expand his business model and build a great reputation and name for Express in this area. To help accomplish this, he has dreams of attaining more Express franchises throughout Iowa and growing to Circle of Excellence and beyond.

“Express is a big family, and I’m looking forward to finding my place within it and being successful.”

Ryan brings lots of energy and ideas with him to Express, and he is driven to succeed, not only in his professional life, but his personal life too. He is focused on continuing to develop his leadership skills and is an active member of the East Des Moines young professionals committee. In what free time he does have, you can find Ryan relaxing and being outdoors. He enjoys volleyball, mountain biking, slow pitch softball, and running.
