Express Franchising

Michael Reese was awarded the Corning, NY, franchise territory on March 5, 2010 with a targeted opening date of June 1, 2010.

After graduating from West Virginia University, he joined the Roanoke, VA, Express team as a staffing consultant.

“Express offered a position that allowed me to begin my career in human resources,” Michael said. “I developed not only a passion for the industry, but a passion for Express.”

A few years later, Michael and his wife, Catava, decided to move to Corning, NY, to be closer to family. Michael took a position at Alstom Transportation where he helped recruit employees and later went to work for General Revenue Corporation as their HR manager.

“My long-term goal since leaving Express has been to position myself for the opportunity to own an Express franchise,” Michael said. “This has been a dream of mine since 2004, and everything I do and have done in my professional life has been with that goal in mind.”

Michael and Catava have two children, a 21-month old and a 1-month old. Catava will initially work for the office on a part-time basis, helping make sales calls, setting appointments, and handling the accounts payable and receivable.

“The franchise system Express employs provides excellent guidance that makes business sense,” Michael said. “I’m looking forward to learning the business needs of my clients and being able to add value to their business.”
